Indian fast bowler and acting captain Jasprit Bumrah, who is captaining Team India in the Perth Test, has created a new record on Australian soil. On the second day in the Perth Test match, Bumrah left the legendary bowlers behind by hunting Alex Carey. On the first day of the Perth Test, the Indian team was bundled out for 150 runs in the first innings. In response, Australia had put 67 runs on the scoreboard after losing 7 wickets by the end of the first day’s play.

On the very first day, Bumrah created a sensation in the Australian camp by taking 4 wickets. Now, soon after the start of the second day’s play, Jasprit Bumrah has created history. Bumrah has already created a stir by taking 5 wickets in the test match. This is his 11th 5 wicket haul in Test cricket. Not only this, for the second time in the home of Australia, he has done a great feat of dismissing half the team in one innings of a Test match. Earlier, Bumrah had done the feat of taking 6 wickets in an innings of the Melbourne Test match in December 2018.

Thanks to this 5 wicket haul, Bumrah has now equaled the great record of Kapil Dev. Bumrah has now reached par with Kapil Dev in terms of taking maximum 5 wickets in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) countries. Both the bowlers have 7-7 5 wicket hauls to their name in SENA countries.
