Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur was recently injured during the T20 series played against West Indies. Due to which she could not play in the last two matches of the three-match T20 series. Meanwhile, Amol Majumdar has informed that Harmanpreet Kaur will be completely fit for the first ODI match against West Indies to be held here on Sunday. This match will be played on 22 December. When she got injured during the T20 series. At that time Smriti Mandhana captained Team India.

Majumdar, while talking to the media before the start of the ODI series, said that Harmanpreet will spend full time in practice today. We will take a decision regarding her soon and I have full hope that she will be fit for the first match. The coach admitted that young wicketkeeper batsman Yastika Bhatia will miss the three-match ODI series but said that the team management will select the best playing 11 out of the 15 members. He said that yes we will miss some players. Bhatia is injured and is currently undergoing treatment at NCA. Hope she gets fit soon. There are currently 15 members in our team and we will select the best playing 11 among them.

Regarding the pitch of the first match of the ODI series, Majumdar said that he has just seen the pitch and it looks good. Team India is coming here after playing at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Where the pitch was prepared from red soil. The pitch here has been prepared from black soil and he is excited to play on this pitch.
