Big revelation regarding Champions Trophy 2025, PCB got a blunt answer from BCCI

The dispute between the Indian Cricket Board i.e. BCCI and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding Champions Trophy 2025 is not getting resolved. There are now about 100 days left for the tournament to be held but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is not ready to agree to the hybrid model. Meanwhile, a big revelation has been made by PCB regarding the tournament. Actually, PCB has received a mail from ICC in which it has been said that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan to participate in the Champions Trophy. This mail comes after the statement of the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board in which it was said that Pakistan will disclose its policy only when they get something in writing from ICC. Now after receiving India’s written reply from ICC, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in tension.
PCB and BCCI face to face
The PCB said in a statement that the board has received an e-mail from the ICC stating that the BCCI has informed them that their team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. PCB spokesperson said that PCB has sent that e-mail to the Government of Pakistan for consultation and guidance. PCB did not comment further on the ICC e-mail but it has become clear that the Indian team is not ready to go to Pakistan under any conditions.
Hybrid model not approved by PCB
Earlier, PCB Chairman Naqvi had said that ‘hybrid model’ is not acceptable to Pakistan. Now after BCCI’s reply has come out, the crisis over organizing the Champions Trophy has deepened. The Indian cricket team had earlier refused to go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, after which the hybrid model was adopted. India played all its matches in Sri Lanka. However, this time PCB is not in favor of adopting this model. Let us tell you, the Indian team has not toured Pakistan since 2008. At the same time, Pakistan team has come to India for the White Ball Series in 2012-13, T20 World Cup in 2016 and 50 over World Cup last year.
