BCCI gave the biggest update regarding Mohammed Shami, now this trophy will remain a dream
Mohammad Shami Update By BCCI: Currently Team India is on Australia tour. Two matches of the five-match series are still left. Meanwhile, there was a possibility whether Mohammed Shami could join the Indian team for the remaining matches. Because he has been coming out on the field and bowling for quite some time now. Now BCCI has clarified the picture regarding this entire matter. Which is no less than a big shock for Indian fans.
BCCI gave update regarding Shami
BCCI has given an update on Mohammed Shami’s injury just a short time ago. BCCI has made it clear that Mohammed Shami has now completely recovered from the heel problem. He had surgery on his right heel. Meanwhile, Shami played a match for his team Bengal in Ranji Trophy and managed to bowl many overs. He also got wickets. After this, when it came to Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he was seen playing for his team there also. He played all 9 matches for his team. Along with this, he also did the remaining overs to increase his bowling ability.
Shami’s knee swollen, will not be able to go to Australia
BCCI has also said that due to continuous bowling, slight swelling has been seen in his left knee. Perhaps this problem might have arisen due to suddenly coming into the match and bowling after a long time. BCCI has got Mohammed Shami tested and after this it has come to the conclusion that the medical team says that the knee needs a few days of rest to recover. Therefore, he has not been considered fit for the remaining two matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. BCCI said that Shami will remain under the supervision of medical staff at the Center of Excellence. Not only will he not go on the Australia tour, his participation in the Vijay Hazare Trophy will also depend on the progress of his knee.
Hope to return till Champions Trophy
That means Shami playing in the Border Gavaskar Trophy will remain a dream. It should be hoped that when the Champions Trophy is held in February next year, only then will he be fit and able to play for Team India. Even if he is able to play the Champions Trophy, it will be a big achievement, because it will be an ICC tournament and Team India will need a strong bowler like Shami. But if he also misses the Champions Trophy, then let us assume that his return will happen only in the next season of IPL.
