Akash Deep Batting: The third test match between India and Australia was a draw. Rain became the big villain in this match and due to this the game could not be played. But in this match, fast bowler Akash Deep impressed with his batting. In this match, Australia batted first and scored 445 runs, in response to which the Indian team was in danger of follow-on at one time. But then Akash Deep emerged as the hero and avoided the follow-on by making a 47-run partnership with Bumrah for the tenth wicket.
Akash Deep said that we come to bat lower in the order and hence a contribution of 20, 25 or 30 runs is valuable. I was then only thinking about contributing to the team. I was not playing to save follow-on that day. My focus was only on not getting out. God willing and we were successful in saving the follow-on. Akash had saved the follow-on by hitting a four on Australian captain Pat Cummins. After this the players were seen celebrating in the Indian dressing room. He played a total innings of 31 runs against Australia.
Akash Deep did not play in the first two test matches
He said that even though we were behind in the last match, if you pay attention, both the teams are on equal footing. The confidence we gained on the last day of the last match is still with us, so I believe the match is evenly matched and the Melbourne Test match is important for both the teams. Akash was not included in the final eleven in the first two Test matches but was included in the team for the third Test match in which he performed well.
Jasprit Bumrah made the job easy
