8 Indian players will play against Australia for the first time, this big mistake may prove costly
India vs Australia 1st Test: Now only a few days are left for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to start. The first match between the two teams will be played on the Perth ground from 22nd November. But regular captain Rohit Sharma and young batsman Shubman Gill could not play in the first test. Rohit has not gone to Australia since the birth of his second child. Whereas Gill is out of the first match due to injury. This has increased the crisis for Team India, because both these players had played in Australia before and were well aware of the conditions there. The second biggest concern of the team management is that there are 8 players in the Indian Test squad who have never played a Test match against Australia before.
3 players have not yet made their test debut
8 players including Abhimanyu Easwaran, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Reddy, Akash Deep, Harshit Rana and Prasidh Krishna are part of the Indian Test team, which has gone to play the Test series on Australian tour. But these players have not played a single test match against Australia so far in their career and these players do not even have the experience of playing much test matches. Out of the 8, there are three players (Abhimanyu Easwaran, Harshit Rana, Nitish Reddy) who have not made their Test debut yet. Now the Indian selectors’ move to choose less inexperienced players may backfire against Australia. Now if these players get a place in the Indian playing eleven, then all of them will play a Test match against Australia for the first time.
Abhimanyu Easwaran hopes to get a chance
Rohit Sharma is not playing in the first test match. In such a situation, Abhimanyu Easwaran may get a chance to debut in the Test and he is a strong contender to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal. He has scored mountains of runs in domestic cricket. So far he has scored 7674 runs in 101 Test matches, which includes 27 centuries. On the other hand, Dhruv Jurel, Akash Deep and Harshit Rana are also likely to get a chance in the playing eleven of the first Test.
