Weather Updates: Amount Of Rain Will Increase From 24th

Bhubaneswar: Rain continuing in Odisha as the depression formed over North Bay of Bengal remains active. According to the forecast of the meteorological department, there is a possibility of cyclone formation in the next two days. Therefore, the amount of rain is expected to increase from 24th.

By the next 24th, a cyclonic storm may form in North Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas. As a result of this, heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in seven districts of the state for two days on 24th and 25th.

Similarly, there is a risk of very heavy rain in 5 districts today due to the active low pressure in the state.

Yellow warning has been issued for Sundergarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj for today. Thunderstorms and heavy rains are likely to occur in these three districts. Similarly, heavy rainfall has been predicted in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Devagarh districts on 23rd.

However, there will be seasonal effects in one or two places along the coast and western Odisha. The SRC has warned that there will be a reduction in visibility and traffic problems in urban areas.

On the otherhand high alert has been issued for the fishermen from the 22nd to the 25th.
