Sambalpur: Continous rain in the state is causing the water level high. Due to the rains in the upper reaches, the water level in the Hirakud Reservoir has increased. In view of this, 6 gates of Hirakud Dam have been opened on Thursday.
At present, water is being drained through a total of 6 gates. 4 gates on the left side and 2 gates on the right side have been opened.
