Servitor of Lingaraj Temple Arrested for Allegedly Misbehaving with Foreign National
Bhubaneswar: Lingaraj Police in Bhubaneswar apprehended a servitor of Lingaraj Temple for reportedly misbehaving with a female foreign national. The accused, identified as Kundu Mahapatra, was taken into custody following a complaint filed by the foreign national.
The incident, which led to Mahapatra’s arrest, occurred near the North Gate of the temple premises. The foreign national lodged a complaint with the authorities, prompting the police to take action. A case has been registered against Mahapatra under Sections 354 and 354A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deal with offenses related to assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
