Rahul Gandhi Launches Scathing Attack on Modi and Patnaik, Alleges BJP-BJD Partnership Exploiting Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra progresses through Odisha, the Congress leader has mounted a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, accusing them of running a partnership government that exploits the poor, tribals, and Dalits. Addressing gatherings in Rourkela and other locations on the second day of his yatra in Odisha, Rahul Gandhi alleged collusion between the ruling BJD and BJP, claiming they work hand in hand to plunder the state’s resources and marginalize its people.

Claiming a nexus between the BJD and BJP, Rahul Gandhi asserted that they prioritize the interests of wealthy outsiders over the welfare of Odisha’s citizens. He criticized their joint efforts in Parliament and emphasized the Congress party’s role in fighting against this partnership to safeguard the rights and interests of the marginalized and economically disadvantaged sections of society.

Highlighting the issue of growing unemployment in Odisha, Rahul Gandhi pointed out that over 30 lakh people from the state have been forced to migrate to other regions in search of employment opportunities. He attributed this crisis to the failure of the Naveen Patnaik-led government to address the issue effectively. Rahul further accused the government of facilitating the exploitation of natural resources by outside industrialists at the expense of the local population.

In addition to critiquing the BJP-BJD alliance, Rahul Gandhi condemned the BJP and RSS for spreading hatred across the country. He stressed the importance of promoting love and compassion, advocating for the establishment of “Mohabbat ki Dukan” (shop of love) in place of “Nafrat ki Bazaar” (market of hatred).

Rahul Gandhi reiterated his commitment to addressing the grievances of marginalized communities, particularly tribals, Dalits, and backward classes, who he claims are denied justice under the current political dispensation. His yatra serves as a platform for listening to the concerns of the people and advocating for their rights and dignity.

On the itinerary for the second day of his yatra, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to take a lunch break at Birsa Munda Ground in Ranibandh before continuing with public meetings and receptions at various locations. The padyatra will resume in Sundargarh district, followed by a public meeting and an evening break at Amlipali Ground in Jharsuguda. The yatra will then proceed to Mahatma Gandhi Chowk in Jharsuguda town, where Rahul Gandhi will address the public before continuing towards Beheramal Kisan Chowk. The day’s journey will conclude at Rengalpali on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border.
