Odisha Experiences Dense Fog Amidst Changing Weather Patterns
Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that dense fog will persist during the night and early hours at various locations in Odisha for the next two days. While the cold wave conditions have subsided, the state is expected to witness rain starting from February 1, according to the IMD. The night temperatures, experiencing a gradual rise due to a western disturbance, are predicted to remain relatively stable for the next 4-5 days. However, Bhubaneswar may see a dip to 15 degrees Celsius again from February 3.
Bhubaneswar recorded a temperature of 16.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning, with very dense fog causing visibility to drop to 50 meters in the city. Similar foggy conditions were observed in other areas of Odisha, including Koraput, Rourkela, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Angul, Kendrapada, Baripada, Talcher, Chandbali, and Bhawanipatna, where visibility ranged from shallow to moderate.
As Odisha transitions through these weather patterns, residents are advised to stay updated on the evolving conditions, especially with the anticipation of rain in the coming days.
