Bhubaneswar: For the white revolution CM Mohan Charan Majhi has announced that new schemes are going to be launched soon. He said that the Chief Minister’s Kamdhenu Yojana will be launched to increase milk production in the state. Along with this the Chief Minister’s Prani Kalyan Yojana will be launched for the welfare of animals. Rs 697 crore has been allocated in the budget this year for the development of animals. On the occasion of the 23rd general session of the State Non-Gazetted Veterinary Technicians Association Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had participated.
In this occasion, he said, most of our farmers belong to the small, medium or landless category. Animal husbandry is the best way to increase the income of farmers and make them financially independent. They can become self-reliant by engaging in cow, goat, sheep and fish farming along with agriculture.
The Chief Minister further said that the employees of the Veterinary Department have a significant contribution in the development of the animal resources of the state. From rural to urban areas, especially during natural disasters, the Animal Husbandry Inspector and other employees of the department continuously provide animal services. The technical knowledge of the employees of this department is very helpful in increasing the income of our farmer brothers. Animal husbandry is the oldest livelihood of human society. Today, times have changed, human society is now involved in various professional businesses and is moving forward, the Chief Minister said.
