Bhubaneswar: The Minister of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare in the Government of Odisha, Krushna Chandra Patra has given great information about Ration Card E-KYC. He said, about 2 crore 30 lakh E-KYC has been completed.
About 1 crore people’s E-KYC is left. Minister said that EKYC will be completed in 15-20 days, then new cards will be distributed.
On the other hand, wheat is found along with rice in the ration. A letter has come from Central Food and Public Distribution. This new law will come into effect from October. Earlier, the government recently informed the ration card beneficiaries that wheat, which was available in the ration card as before, will be available again along with rice.
The government asked for 20 percent of the available rice to be wheat. The BJD government banned wheat and supplied only rice.
