Another Depression Is Brewing In The Bay of Bengal
Bhubaneswar: Another depression is brewing in the Bay of Bengal. Low pressure is likely to develop in the west-central Bay of Bengal on the 4th. It can then condense and become deoression. This is also estimated to be towards Chhattisgarh.
Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Center informed that there will be heavy rain again from 4th due to this.
On the other hand, the low pressure that is active in the Bay of Bengal has taken the form of depression. It is raining in some parts of the state. The rainfall will gradually move west-northwestwards over coastal areas and then land over north Andhra and adjoining south Odisha coast. By Sunday evening, it was 90 km from Visakhapatna and 120 km from Malkangiri.
It will cross the south Odisha coast by Monday. Later, it will weaken and become a low pressure. As a result of this, there has been heavy rain in other parts of the state including South Odisha on Sunday.
According to Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Center, 20.0 mm of rain was recorded in Talcher, 17.0 mm in Khurda district, 11.6 mm in Malkangari and 10.0 mm in Jajpur. However, the weather center has estimated that there will be no heavy rain on the 2nd and 3rd September, while it has been informed that the amount of rain may increase again from the 4th.
