Rourkela: A tragic Tuesday got everyone’s attention when the Howrah-Mumbai Mail Express derailed and collided with a freight train standing on the adjacent tracks at around 3.30 pm on Monday. Two Odia passengers Ajit Samal and Bikash Rao died in the accident of Howrah-Mumbai Mail Express in Jharkhand Rajkharsumaan. It is reported that the two of them are residents of Rourkela. One is from the godown area and another is from the railway colony. Other injured and serious ones are being treated at the local railway hospital.
There is information that 5 trains were completely canceled and 4 trains were partially canceled after the accident. According to information, Howrah-Titlagarh-Kantabanji Ispat Express, Khadagpur-Dhanabad Express, Howrah-Badbil Howrah Express, Tatanagar-Itwari, Salimar-LTF Express and Howrah-Bhubaneswar-Howrah Janshatabdi have been cancelled.
