Shah Praised Naveen’s Policy In Disaster Management
New Delhi: In the house of Parliament, Amit Shah praised the policy implemented by ex CM of Odisha Naveen Patnaik. The Union Minister presented an example of Naveen Patnaik in disaster management. He said the Kerala government has already been warned about the possibility of such a disaster. Normally many states heed such warnings, but the Kerala government has ignored them. He also cited the example of former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. He further said, there are many state governments who have managed zero casualty disasters using this type of warning. When Naveen Patnaik was in power in Odisha, a cyclone alert was sent before 7 days to Odisha, and in result one person lost his life.. We had sent a cyclone alert to the Gujarat government 3 days ago, but no one had died. Shah said, the Kerala government has already been warned about the possibility of such a disaster. Normally many states heed such warnings, but the Kerala government has ignored them. Naveen’s disaster management strategy always grabbed everyone’s attention. Also this time Shah presented him as an example to others. Â
A severe landslide in Kerala’s Wayanad already took more than 150 lives. Similarly, more than 170 people were injured and over 200 are missing. It has been reported that more than 400 families are stuck under the soil. It is feared that the number of deaths may increase further. Rescue operations are continuing on a wartime basis.Â
