Namo Bharat Train to Grace 75th Republic Day Parade

Feature: In a momentous showcase of India’s strides in modern infrastructure, a glimpse of the ‘Namo Bharat Train’ will be featured in the 75th Republic Day parade on January 26. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October 2023 as part of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), the Namo Bharat Train signifies a leap forward in the country’s regional connectivity.

The tableau representing Uttar Pradesh, themed ‘Viksit Bharat: Samriddh Virasat,’ will proudly carry a snapshot of the Namo Bharat Train, providing onlookers with a visual testament to the advancements in the state’s transportation infrastructure.

The tableau’s display will encapsulate the essence of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Sahibabad Station, a pivotal hub in the ambitious project. Furthermore, it will showcase the Namo Bharat Train, symbolizing progress and connectivity. Currently operational on a 17-km stretch from Sahibabad to Duhai Depot in Uttar Pradesh, the train is a shining example of modern rapid transit.

Trials are actively underway for the expansion of the Namo Bharat Train’s route, covering an additional 25 km stretch beyond Duhai to Meerut South RRTS station. This expansion signifies the commitment to enhancing connectivity and accessibility in the region, bringing the benefits of rapid transit to a wider population.

Beyond the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, the first phase of the Regional Rapid Transit System encompasses the Delhi-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat corridors. The comprehensive approach to regional connectivity is a testament to the government’s vision for a well-connected and prosperous nation.

Looking ahead, plans are already in motion to introduce RRTS systems in other parts of the country, promising a future where efficient and rapid transit becomes a hallmark of India’s transportation landscape.

The inclusion of the Namo Bharat Train in the Republic Day parade not only celebrates the achievements in infrastructure but also serves as an inspiration for future developments. As the nation commemorates its 75th Republic Day, the tableau showcasing the Namo Bharat Train stands as a symbol of progress, connectivity, and the relentless pursuit of a modern and well-connected India.
