Rahul Gandhi, during his “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,” delivered several speeches that have garnered attention, with some turning into viral sensations on the internet. One such snippet, in which he discusses the use of coal in a stove for preparing tea, has become a topic of discussion. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma shared a 13-second video clip on social media, expressing his views on the matter. In the video, Rahul Gandhi is heard saying, “You wake up in the morning and prepare a warm cup of tea by putting coal in the stove and burning it.”

Himanta Biswa Sharma seized the opportunity to criticize Rahul Gandhi, posting on social media, “We were just getting over the idea of you turning potatoes into gold when you put coal in the stove, leaving us confused.”

The opposition has capitalized on such statements, using them as ammunition to challenge the credibility and awareness of the Congress leader.

Not stopping at the coal comment, Chief Minister Biswa Sharma shared another 45-second video where Rahul Gandhi discusses the significance of the “Gamucha” in Assam. In response, Biswa Sharma criticized Rahul for his apparent lack of awareness and posted, “Who teaches you this nonsense? Or do you say anything deliberately?”

The controversy surrounding Rahul Gandhi’s statements adds fuel to the ongoing political discourse, with opponents seizing on these remarks to question the leader’s understanding and connect with the people.
