Gram flour syrup is more nutritious than it tastes delicious. To generate warmth in the body, you must eat gram flour syrup in winter. Recipe to make gram flour sheera:
First step- Take 3 cups of water in a pan and keep it to heat. When the water becomes hot enough, put 1-2 green cardamoms in it after removing their peel. Add about 7-8 thinly cut long pieces of dried coconut. Boil water thoroughly.
Second step- Now add 2 spoons of desi ghee in the pan. After the ghee melts, add half a cup i.e. about 100 grams of gram flour into the ghee. Mix the gram flour while stirring and keep frying on low flame until it becomes thin. When the gram flour is roasted well, add coconut water little by little and keep stirring.
Third step- When the gram flour becomes thick, add some water again and keep stirring. Similarly, add all the water to the gram flour and cook while stirring continuously. Keep the flame of the gas very low and while stirring, keep breaking the lumps in the gram flour. Add half a cup of jaggery sugar or desi khand in it.
Fourth step- As soon as it is added, the color of the gram flour will turn light brown. You have to stir it in a circular motion and then cover and cook for 3-4 minutes. Due to this the gram flour syrup will become slightly thick. Keep in mind that the syrup should be thin. Now add 1 spoon poppy seeds in it.
Fifth step- If you want, you can also add 1 pinch of black pepper and 1 pinch of dry ginger powder into it. This will further enhance the taste and quality. Gram flour sheera is ready. Eating it hot will provide relief from cold, cough and cough. It can be fed to small children also.
