Bhubaneswar: In the political scenario of Odisha, the Congress has been running without leadership in the state for a long time. PCC president seat has been vacant for two months as AICC does not announce new leadership for the state. Without the president the Congress activity in the state is slow. On the other hand, the 14-member steering committee formed under the leadership of Odisha in-charge Ajoy Kumar.
As a result, the Congress is seen as apathetic on many important issues in the state. After the meeting of the steering committee, several leaders from the Congress said that PCC will be formed with the announcement of the name of the new president within a month to one and a half months. After two and a half months have passed, the PCC president has not been elected.
Now the topic of discussion is that a new congress president has been appointed for Odisha’s neighboring state West Bengal last week. A new president has been appointed there in place of Adhir Ranjan Choudhury in West Bengal. But despite the fact that the post of PCC president has been vacant for 2 months in Odisha, AICC has forgotten about it. The Congress has raised an issue at the national level regarding the Bharatpur police station incident. If the senior leaders of the party at the state level did not make any visible protest and did not surround the government in an effective manner in this matter, it was only due to lack of leadership.
