Bhubaneswar: The first instalment of the third phase of ‘Subhadra’ will be available by the end of November. More than 20 lakh beneficiaries will get this money. Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida informed this today.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that a high-level committee meeting was held yesterday evening regarding Subhadra Scheme. In this meeting, BDO has been given the responsibility of re-checking the applications of 2 lakh 67 thousand beneficiaries who were rejected. A three-member committee has been formed at the district level including the District Welfare Officer. That committee will check it.
The applications of those who have more than 5 acres of land have been rejected. The tehsildars will check it with the RI on the spot. The government’s goal is that not a single eligible beneficiary will be excluded from this scheme. During the check, some eligible beneficiaries will emerge from the 2 lakh 67 thousand beneficiaries who were rejected. They will be able to get Subhadra money in the third phase, the Deputy Chief Minister said.
The Deputy Chief Minister further said that out of the rejected applications, the number of rejections on land basis is high. Some were rejected because they had government jobs, and some were rejected because they did not have a bank link. Along with this, Anganwadi didis have also been rejected. All of them will be checked and Subhadra money will be given to the eligible beneficiaries. Those who have been rejected will be notified by the Anganwadi didis. If Subhadra is rejected for someone’s land, then the Tehsildar and RI will check it. If the application is rejected for a bank link, it will be referred to the bank. The bank will check it.
We had said to make Subhadra easily available to the people. A three-member committee has been formed to make it even easier. That committee will definitely complete it. The Deputy Chief Minister said that more than 1 crore women will get Subhadra money by the end of December.
