Sambalpur: The holy date was scheduled for Nuakhai in Balangir. Balangir District Astrologer Council Nabanna Lagna Nirnayak Committee has fixed the Lagna. The 8th of September will be the finalized day for Nabanna. Lagna is the propitious moment, on which the nabanna or newly harvested rice offered to Maa Samaleswari on the occasion of Nuakhai.
The auspicious time for Tula Lagna will be between 9 hours 35 minutes and 10 hours 7 minutes. The day has been decided as per the Goddess Patneshwari and Maa Samaleswari’s Rashi Nakshatra. The committee member or the priest of the temple has said about the date of the auspicious occasion.
However, Nuakhai is the festival dedicated to the authenticity of mother land and its pure form of devotion towards Maa Samaleswari while celebrating the relationship between farmer and agriculture or unmixed relationship of earth.
