Cuttack: Special Investigation Team (SIT) meeting is going to held in Cuttack today. The meeting will be held at the residence of Vice President and retired Supreme Court judge Arijit Pashayat. This meeting will be seated on black money issue. ED Director Rahul Navin will attend it. CBI, IT, ED, Customs officials will attend the meeting. Director of Vigilance and Crime Branch from Odisha will also attend.
According to reports, SIT has been set up by the central government to crack down the old files on black money. It has been formed on the orders of the Supreme Court. The team is going to submit its ninth report to the court. During the meeting, the property list of the officers arrested by the Vigilance Department will be submitted to the SIT. Vigilance has also been asked to provide detailed information about those who have more than 3 crore assets.
ED Director Rahul Naveen has reached Odisha. Naveen along with Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) Chairman Ravi Agarwal and Attorney General R. Venkataramani has arrived. He will also chaired the SIT meeting in Cuttack today.
Rumours are also saying that old files like Triveni, coal scam, mines scam could brought into limelight. Also there is a gossip that this is a trap is going to create by BJP govt. to make a threat scenario for BJD leaders. Many officers, leaders are coming to the headlines under vigilance scanner. Now when ED Director is coming to Odisha and today’s senior level meeting, is expected to bring something big.
