Restrictions Imposed On Tourists For Puri & Konark Temple Has Withdrawn
Puri: Tourists were banned from Puri Jagannath Temple by the government and administration due to cyclone ‘Dana’. However, Puri has not been affected much by the storm which has already made landfall. So now the administration has withdrawn the restrictions imposed on tourists.
The darshan restrictions on the Konark Sun Temple have also been withdrawn. Now tourists and devotees can visit Lord Mahaprabhu’s darshan, visit Sun Temple and stroll along the beach as before. However, since the sea is still turbulent, the district magistrate Siddharth Shankar Swain has informed the tourists not to go into the sea.
While informing the media representatives in this regard, collector said, “The impact of the storm has not been so extensive in the district nor has there been much rain.” But as there is forecast of further rain, public and tourists are requested by the administration to be careful.
