Potato Crisis: Odisha Take Revenge Against WB

WB’s Potato deficiency Caused Protest In Cuttack

Cuttack: The deficiency and high price of potato is booming in the state. While it is being sold at 45-50 rs per kilo, it has reached 60rs per kilo. On the other hand, despite all the efforts of the government, West Bengal has not agreed to give up the potatoes. It was seen that the West Bengal police chased and seized the potato vehicle that had come to Odisha. In such a situation, the people of Odisha are facing non-existent problems.

Various unions of Odisha have started taking revenge on this. Since potatoes are not coming from West Bengal to Odisha, Odisha is now adopting a tit-for-tat policy. Various social organizations are protesting in Cuttack alleging that the West Bengal government is not releasing enough potatoes. In protest, they have blocked the food goods route from Odisha to West Bengal.
