Cuttack: Today, on the occasion of Independence Day, the Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida made a big announcement for working women. Women working in both government and private organizations will be given one day leave for menstruation.
This rule announced by the Deputy Chief Minister will apply to all government and private offices in the state. The state government is going to come up with a Menstrual Health Policy very soon. Such a big decision has been taken within the first 100 days of the Women and Child Development Department. There were various demands for leave during menstruation. It is going to be implemented now.
