Bhubaneswar: Odia senior IPS officer Rashmi Ranjan became Jammu and Kashmir DGP. A notification has been published by the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the appointment of Rashmi Ranjan.
Rashmi Ranjan Swain, a 1991 batch IPS officer, was serving as the additional DGP of Jammu and Kashmir. However, today he has been given the responsibility as DGP. However, according to the notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs, he will be in charge until September 30th. Before becoming the DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, he has also served as SSP in Srinagar and Jammu. He was in charge of Srinagar from 2001 to 2003 and Jammu from 2003 to 2004.
