No More Liquor Shops Will Be Opened: Excise minister Pruthiraj Harichandan

Bhubaneswar: After Odisha came under BJP rule, one of the issues that got a lot of attention was drug-free Odisha. Because it has already been seen that liquor has been banned in BJP states. About which many comments were also published. 

The Excise minister Pruthiraj Harichandan said that the discussion is going on. The departmental minister informed, that liquor cannot be stopped suddenly. Because liquor business in the state contributes more than 6 thousand crores to the state revenue. Odisha may suffer a big loss due to the ban.

Meanwhile, Excise minister Pruthiraj Harichandan has made a big statement about it. The minister has announced that no more liquor shops will be opened. Liquor will be controlled without stopping the smuggling of liquor. 

The minister said, the government has decided not to open any more liquor shops in the state. Steps are being taken to stop the sale of bootleg liquor. The liquor that was with it will be made available. The minister said that in the new liquor policy, laws should be brought to stop bootleg liquor in Odisha.
