Bhubaneswar: Former Chief Secratary of Odisha Bijay Patnaik left the Congress Party. Bijay Patnaik, who turned from an administrative officer to a Congress leader, said goodbye to the Congress. Bijay Patnaik informed about his resignation by writing a mail to AICC. However, seeing the disaster of the Congress after the general elections, all the Odisha Congress committees were dissolved. Then last day Congress formed its own steering committee. Many big leaders were not included in this steering committee, even Bijay Patnaik was also excluded from the steering committee.
However, Bijay Patnaik said about resigning, “I was not needed in the party, so I cannot live with self-respect in a party where there is no need.” So he has resigned from the Congress and said in response to media. Clearly, he further said, “I came into politics to serve the people, so now I will serve the people freely.” He informed that now I will not join any other party.
