Durga Puja: Saptami Puja Performed In The Shakti Peetha, Sasthi In Puja Pandals

Odisha: Maa Durga is coming. The entire state is now in a festive mood. Today, the Saptami (seventh day of puja) is being performed in the Shakti Peetha while the Sasthi (sixth day of puja) is being performed in puja pandals.

After performing Sasthi Puja at the base of the bel tree, Goddess Durga will be invoked. At this time there is a rule to perform vrat rutuals.

Holy water will be brought from the river on tomorrow’s seventh day and shiny powerful eyes of Devi Maa will be open for the blessings. Then on Friday there is a tradition of performing Vrat Pooja along with Astami Pooja.
