Odisha: People are trying to leave the country due to the ongoing unrest in neighboring Bangladesh. Everyone tried to come to India as India was the nearest safe place. In the past two days, the army has been conducting several anti-infiltration bids at many places along the border of the two countries.
In this sequence, Odisha has a huge coastline. The police have been alerted by the possibility of Bangladeshis coming by boat. For this, 18 marine stations have been ordered to increase patrolling. Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapara have been specially alerted.
Patrolling up to 5 nautical miles in the sea has been ordered while all marine stations have been provided with more staff and support. DGP Arun Sarangi said that a three-tier security system has been put in place for this.
