Odisha Chief Minister Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for Key Development Projects in Multiple Districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik marked a significant milestone on Monday as he virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a range of developmental projects across Bolangir, Keonjhar, Khurda, and Boudh districts. These projects, aimed at bolstering infrastructure and tourism, are poised to catalyze socio-economic growth and enhance connectivity across the state.

The inauguration ceremony encompassed a diverse array of initiatives, including the unveiling of the renovated Harishankar Temple in Bolangir district and the introduction of Odisha’s longest flyover spanning 3 km in Joda, Keonjhar district, at a cost of Rs 258.78 crore. Additionally, a 762-meter-long railway over-bridge constructed at Jatni Kudiari in Khurda district for Rs 105 crore, and Odisha’s longest bridge measuring 3 km over the Mahanadi river on the Athmallik-Dhalpur road, constructed at a cost of Rs 159.31 crore, were inaugurated.

Other significant projects include a 600-meter-long bridge over the Tel river built for Rs 45.84 crore and the Boudh-Maryakud link road, completed at a cost of Rs 71.59 crore. Chief Minister Patnaik also inaugurated the improvement work of Mahapuru Achutananda Das Peetha in Nemalo, Cuttack district, and the construction of a 1738-meter-long river bridge connecting Birmaharajpur road.

In his address, Chief Minister Patnaik underscored the pivotal role of these projects in advancing tourism and infrastructure development, emphasizing their implementation under the state’s transformative 5T initiative. He highlighted the significance of cultural preservation, citing the renovation of revered Peethas and the conversion of historic sites into tourist destinations as pivotal steps toward promoting heritage and fostering economic growth.

Acknowledging the importance of communication infrastructure, Chief Minister Patnaik emphasized that the newly inaugurated projects would enhance connectivity and reduce travel time, benefitting millions of citizens. He attributed the success of these initiatives to the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders and reiterated the government’s commitment to building a resilient and prosperous Odisha.

Ministers Pradeep Kumar Amat, Prafulla Kumar Mallik, along with several MLAs and government officials, attended the ceremony and commended Chief Minister Patnaik’s visionary leadership and dedication to the welfare of Odisha’s citizens. They expressed confidence that the state would continue to witness remarkable progress under his stewardship, with a focus on inclusive development and improved quality of life for all residents.
