Nowcast Warning: Thunderstorm May Lash These Odisha Dists Today; IMD
Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm today as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued Orange Warning in this regard.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional office here on Friday forecasted light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning to affect some parts of Nayagarh, Khudra (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack City), Dhenkanal, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts within the next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts.
