Hyderabad: Foreign National arrested for residing illegally

Hyderabad, Nov 26: The city police have arrested a foreign National belonging to Somalia for staying in Hyderabad illegally.
On credible information, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team apprehended twenty-seven-year old Abdullah Ahmed Aweis alias Jordan at Upperpally in Rajendra Nagar here on Thursday.
He was native of Mogdishu City in Somalia and was arrested when he was moving on suspicious circumstances, a police release here said on Friday.
The Somalia National came to India on student Visa which is valid till January 1, 2017.
He was registered with Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRRO), Hyderabad and his Visa was extended till September 4, 2020 and his Passport also valid till October 25, 2020. Even after expiry of his Passport and VISA he was staying illegally in Hyderabad.
Further it came to know that he was also having contacts with drug suppliers in the limits of Hyderabad. As such, the foreign national was handed over to FRRO, Hyderabad for deportation.
As per the orders of FRRO, he was deported to his country Somalia yesterday, the release added.
