Prayagraj, Oct 6 : Five teenagers drowned while taking bath in Ganga river in Shivkuti area of Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police sources said.
The sources said here that some teenagers from Bailey and Myorabad localities had gone to take bath in Ganga river in Myorabad in the morning. “It is being said that while taking bath, the teenagers slipped into deep water and drowned,” they said.
Police sources said that the deceased have been identified as Shani (16), Priyanshu (17), Akash (17), Mulayam (17) and Himanshu (14). “All the bodies have been fished out from the river by the divers and they have been sent for post-mortem examination,” they said.
