In a shocking incident, a woman severely injured her husband with a vegetable cutter on Sunday for refusing to give her a mobile phone. The incident has been reported from Keserkela village under Pukutla police station limits in Odisha’s Bolangir district.
The man has been identified as Ganeswar Suna the wife has been identified as Eshwari Kumari. He has been critically injured and admitted Bolangir District Headquarter Hospital (DHH).
The wife asked Ganeswar for a mobile phone to which he refused. She also alleged that he was having an affair.
According to reports, Eshwari Kumari has been demanding a mobile phone from her husband Ganeshwar Suna for some time now. However, Ganeshwar failed to fulfil her demand. On Sunday, the couple had a fierce feud over the issue and eventually, Eshwari picked up a vegetable cutter from the kitchen and attacked her husband while he was asleep at night.
The villagers rescued Ganeswar, who sustained deep injuries on his head and hand. Ganeshwar has been admitted to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.
