Cuttack: In another shocking incident, the body of an unidentified woman was found floating in Mahanadi at Gorakabar in the Cuttack city near Anantpur village under the Khuntuni police station of Athagarh. Locals first spotted the body floating in the river about 2 km from Mundli Bridge and informed the police.
On being informed by locals, athagarh police rushed to the spot and fished out the body identity of which was not yet ascertained once the family members of the missing woman identify it. The woman’s family members have identified the scooter and said that the missing woman was Esurjya Parija of the Sundarpada area of Bhubaneswar. She was studying in a private college, the police said in the preliminary investigation report.
