Thunderstorm Activity To Prevail In Several Odisha Districts For Next 4 Days
Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm activity is likely to prevail in Odisha during the next 3-4 days, the Regional Meteorological Centre here predicted.
It said that an increase in thunderstorm activity is very like in several Odisha districts this week under the influence of low-level prevailing moist easterly from the Bay of Bengal and the middle and upper tropospheric westerly trough. Scattered to fairly widespread thunderstorms with rain, lightning, isolated hail, and gusty surface wind speed are very likely to occur in some districts of the state.
April 25:Â Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, and Bolangir.
April 26:Â Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput.
April 27:Â Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada. Also, hailstorm at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada and Nabarangpur.
April 28:Â Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh & Keonjhar.
