In a shocking incident, a minor committed suicide by hanging from of the room in Baliguali orphanage in the Puri district of Odisha on Tuesday morning.
The deceased minor has been identified as Shashwat Ranjan Mishra residing at the Shaswat Orphanage.
On being informed, personnel from the Marine police station arrived at the orphanage, seized the body, and sent it for autopsy. The police have started an investigation after filing a case of unnatural death.
According to reports, four children were living in the room and they were the first to spot the dead body and inform the orphanage authorities.
