Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Crime Branch’s Special Task Force (STF) seized 1.19 kilograms of brown sugar from a drug dealer in Nayagarh district on Sunday.
The STF conducted a raid at Narayani Pitha in Kantilo and apprehended the dealer, identified as Hara Prasad Prusty alias Shiva, who was found in possession of the illicit substance as well as a motorcycle and other incriminating materials.
Prusty was arrested and taken to court for possession of the contraband without valid authority.
Since 2020, the STF has seized a total of 68 kilograms of brown sugar/heroin, 202 grams of cocaine, 111 quintals of ganja/marijuana, 750 grams of opium, and arrested over 166 drug dealers/peddlers.
