In a shocking incident, a school headmaster has been arrested for allegedly misbehaving with several girl students at a village in Telkoi area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
The headmaster, identified as Narayan Senapati, has been arrested based on the complaints lodged by as many as 12 girl students.
According to reports, the girl student was called to the principal’s office and accused him of misconduct and sexually assaulting her.
In protest, the villagers surrounded the school. Yesterday the ABEO Subas Chandra Mohanty and police station officer Saiprabha Raut reached the spot and investigated into the matter.
On being informed, the additional block education officer and a police team visited the school and the headmaster was taken into custody.
The headmaster, however, dismissed the allegations as baseless and claimed that he always treated the students as his own children.
