Odisha: Section 144 Extended For Another 72 Hours In Orali Chhak Of Bhadrak After Group Clash

Bhadrak, April 19:  The Bhadrak district administration on Wednesday extended the prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC in Apanda Chhak (Orali Chhak). The restrictions have been extended for another 72 hours and will remain in force in the area till 11 am on April 21.

Reportedly, the orders were clamped in the area after a clash broke out between two groups over a boundary dispute between villages in Bhadrak and Keonjhar districts.

Following the group clash, the district administration initially promulgated Section 144 CrPC in Apanda Chhak (Orali Chhak), and in an area of 200-meter radius of the chhak from 11.00 am, April 16, to 11.00, am, April 18.

The Bonth police station IIC has been directed to promulgate the order on the spot and take necessary and immediate steps to disperse the mob who are creating disturbance over the spot and to take action as per law against those persons, sources said.
