Bhubaneswar: A traffic constable’s alertness saved the life of a woman and her child in Madhupatna area of Cuttack on Tuesday.
Constable Tapan Kumar Das, who was on duty at the time, noticed the woman attempting to jump from Madhupatna bridge and engaged her in conversation.
He successfully pulled her away from the railing. The woman and her child were unharmed, and subsequently she was detained.
