Panic Grips As Elephants Storm Into Odisha’s Jharsuguda Town
Residents of Jharsuguda town are spending sleepless nights when a herd of elephants sneaked into the town in the early hours of Sunday.
According to reports, nine elephants were found moving in Mangal Bazaar, Sarbahal and Mungapada areas of the town after straying from Himagiri forest in Sundargarh district.
On being informed, forest department officials reached the spot and drive away the elephants. Moreover, the officials have also warned the locals to not use any kind of firecrackers to drive away the elephants. leaving people panicked during their stay in the town.
Following the movement of the elephants, the power supply has been switched off by the electricity department. The herd did not cause any damage.
