Over 475 kg Ganja Seized from Cattle Feed Laden Container; 2 arrested in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: After a few weeks’ break, Odisha police have seized 475 kg of Ganja (marijuana) from a fodder- laden container at Champakhari check post in Malkangiri district on Monday.

According to reports, the container was en route to Jeypore from Malkangiri when the contraband was seized.

Acting on a tip-off, the team intercepted a container coming from the Kalimela area and conducted a raid. During the raid the police seized 475 kg of Ganja worth more than 45 lakhs from their possession in the cattle feed-laden container and arrested two persons in this connection.

The identity of the arrested persons is yet to be established. Police have started to probe into the matter.
