Orange Alert: Intense Spells Of Rain & Hail In These Odisha Districts Today

Several districts of Odisha  have been witnessing hailstorm and gusty surface wind today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

Thunderstorm with hail, lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and moderate to intense spells of rain is likely in some parts  of Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada and Kandhamal, the Meteorological Centre predicted, adding that thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of North Odisha, it said.
