Bhubaneswar, Dec 29 : Odisha government on Friday promoted 12 IPS officers to the ranks Additional DG, IG and DIG.
The promotion would be made effective from January 1, 2024.
An order issued by the General Administration and Public Grievances said Ghanashya Upadhya (1996 batch) who is in the central delegation, was promoted to the rank of Additional DG of Police.
Anup Kumar Sahu (2006 batch) was promoted to the IG grade.
Amrita Das, Aniruddha Kumar Singh, Anoop Krishna, and Sudha Singh (all from the 2006 batch) who are on Central Deputation were allowed proforma promotion to the grade of IG with effect from January 1, 2024.
Mitrabhanu Mohapatra, Sara Sharma, and Kanwar Vishal Singh (all 2010 batch ) were promoted to the rank of DIG and posted in-situ until further orders.
Ashis Kumar Singh, Parul Gupta, K Siva Subramani who are in central deputation, were allowed proforma promotion to the rank of DIG.
