The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) Mo Bus services in Bhubaneswar has introduced 15 more electric buses to its fleet in the capital city during FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in January 2023 at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela.
Earlier, the CRUT had introduced 20 air-conditioned electric buses in the capital to ensure pollution-free and comfortable rides for commuters. According to Dipti Mahapatra, managing director of CRUT, soon 15 more electric buses under the Mo Bus service in the city taking the total of such buses to 50.
The Transport department on Thursday launched the Mo Bus service in Rourkela, which will host a number of matches of the FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 from January 13. Mahapatra said the CRUT will soon launch more electric buses in Bhubaneswar and other major cities of Odisha.
