Khordha: Raising serious concerns on the state of education, a Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC) in the State has been accused of selling textbooks to a scrap dealer.
The shameful incident came to light after a video of the education official being punished by locals went viral on social media. The accused was identified as Bolagarh Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC) Manmohan Mishra.
Mishra reportedly sold books meant for Class 1 to 8 students which weigh around three quintals, sources informed, However, Bolagarh CRCC Mishra was caught by villagers while he was selling the books to a scarp dealer. After the shocking revelation, the angry locals made him hold his ears and do sit-ups, a clip of which has gone viral. adding that, he even beg an apology for his actions.
On getting information, Bolagarh block education officer (BEO) Niranjan Sahu directed additional BEO Siddheswa Sahu to visit the spot and inquire into the matter.
Till the last report came in, the CRCC’s office has been sealed by the district administration and he has been placed under suspension.
