Bhubaneswar, June 27: Three members of a family were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided head on with a tanker on NH 26 at Pungar village under Pottangi Police station in Odisha’s Koraput district on Tuesday.
The deceased included a couple and their child, a girl around 5 year old.The identities of the deceased have not yet been ascertained.
The accident occurred when the family was on its way from Boipariguda to Visakhapatnam.
Pottangi police reached the spot and retrieved the bodies.The villagers have detained the tanker
and its driver.
